Kuwait at the 26th Arab Festival with 20 radio and television works

Kuwaiti officials: The Ministry of Media delegation will depart on the 20th, heading to the Tunisian Republic to participate in the 26th edition of the Arab Radio and Television Festival, which will take place from September 21 to 24 in Tunis and Hammamet under the theme “Space of Encounter and Creativity.” The delegation is led by the Deputy Minister of Media, Dr. Nasser Muhaissen, and includes members such as the Director General of the General Administration of Television, Badr Al-Duai, and the Director General of the General Administration of Radio, Dr. Yousef Al-Sarie, along with Saad Al-Adwani and Salem Suwailim.

This Kuwaiti participation features a diverse presence combining radio and television productions, reaffirming the Kuwaiti media’s presence at one of the most prominent Arab media gatherings. It underscores Kuwait’s commitment to presenting works that reflect the diversity of the Kuwaiti experience and its ability to keep pace with social, cultural, and humanitarian issues, alongside talk shows, developmental programs, and new media content.

In the television sector, the Ministry of Media will participate with 11 works distributed across various categories. These include social drama through “Al-Shofeer,” and comedic drama “Tatbiq Al-Shuroot,” alongside cultural programs “Afanin Lugawiya,” talk shows “Wazn,” developmental programs “Naftha,” and new media content through “Taqreer Al-Kuwait.”

The participation also includes a news report on the Palestinian issue titled “Hanzala,” and a program aimed at children and families called “Sir Al-Yawm.” The artistic evening will be represented by “Bayn Watarayn,” showcasing the Kuwaiti screen’s diverse range of television productions that combine drama, programs, culture, news, childhood, and art.

On the radio front, Kuwait Radio will participate with nine works specifically produced for this edition, covering contemporary Arabic culture and literature, motivational programs, children’s content, family economics, sports, historical drama, and documentary programs. In the cultural programs and contemporary Arabic literature competition, it will present “Sha’ir Bila Masharir” (A Poet Without Feelings).

In the motivational programs category, “Tabib Al-Amal” (Doctor of Hope) will participate within the series “Inspiring Success Stories in Self-Development,” featuring an episode on the late Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sumait. Children’s programs will be represented by “Zuhour Al-Subh” (Morning Flowers). In the field of family economics and productive families, the station will present “Bayt Yintij Al-Amal” (A House Producing Hope), prepared by Ibrahim Matqi and directed by Walid Sarab.

In sports programs, “Khatwa Bikhataw” (Step by Step) will be featured. In the historical drama competition, the station will participate with the series “Sawt Min Al-Sama” (A Voice from the Sky), and in documentary programs through “Nisf Al-Tareeq” (Midway). Additionally, Kuwait Radio will participate in the special competition of the Arab Radio and Television Union with two works: “Kazimat Al-Buhur” (The Surging Seas), written and directed by Dr. Yousef Al-Sarie, and “Seebouhayh Al-Kuwait: Dr. Khalid Abdul-Karim,” directed by Mohammed Jamal Al-Shatti and written by Dr. Yousef Al-Sarie.
