Al Ahli organizes 'ABK Junior' event for employees' children

Kuwait National Bank (KNB) organized its ABK Junior event for employees’ children for the fourth consecutive year at its headquarters, with broad participation from children and their parents from staff across various departments, as part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening family bonds and promoting an inclusive and supportive work environment.

The event featured a diverse range of recreational activities, including face painting, instant photo sessions for participants, scientific demonstrations, treasure hunts, prize distributions for winners, and guided tours of the main vault, the safe deposit vaults, the surveillance camera room, the central data center, as well as demonstrations on how automated teller machines (ATMs) operate and cash-counting processes.

A financial literacy workshop was also held to introduce children to the nature of their parents’ work and the importance of saving and early financial planning, presented in a simple and engaging manner that fostered an atmosphere of joy and happiness among attendees.

Commenting on the occasion, Afrah Al-Arboush, Director of Human Resources Management at Kuwait National Bank, stated that organizing this event stems from the bank’s firm belief that its employees are its true asset, and that supporting their family stability directly enhances their job performance. She added, “Seeing the smiles on our employees’ children’s faces and introducing them to their parents’ support for the bank’s success journey is the real investment that strengthens the loyalty of our team members and reinforces values of giving and loyalty.”

She noted that the remarkable success and high attendance at the event for the fourth consecutive year confirm the effectiveness of the bank’s vision of maintaining close ties with its employees and their families. The event has become an annual occasion eagerly anticipated by all, serving to renew positive energy and strengthen the sense of a single family within Kuwait National Bank. Each edition sees the bank develop its activities and programs to deliver a more interactive experience, building on the positive feedback and tangible engagement observed each year, which drives the bank to innovate distinctive initiatives that establish a model work environment balancing professional ambition with family stability.

Emphasizing the bank’s continuous commitment to organizing initiatives that combine work and fun, Al-Arboush highlighted that these events provide employees’ children with the opportunity to learn about the environment where their parents spend their time, thereby enhancing their sense of pride. She pointed out the bank’s steadfast commitment to providing a positive work environment that extends beyond daily tasks to encompass the family and social aspects of employees’ lives, stressing the importance of continuing to organize such initiatives that contribute to building a new, financially aware generation.

Al-Arboush concluded, “The enthusiasm, passion, and pride we observed among the children when seeing their parents’ offices and understanding their work mechanisms represent the true fruit of such gatherings. This event is a message of gratitude and appreciation to every family that stands behind the excellence and daily support of our employees. We believe that strengthening social bonds within the bank directly contributes to creating a cohesive work environment capable of achieving results through teamwork.”
