Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE Visits Kuwait Pavilion at Arabian Travel Market in Dubai

The Deputy President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, visited the State of Kuwait’s pavilion at the Arabian Travel Market 2026, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

He was welcomed upon his arrival at the pavilion by Dr. Nasser Muhsin, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, and Khaled Al-Zayani, Kuwait’s Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, along with several members of the Kuwaiti delegation participating in the exhibition.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was accompanied during his visit by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Media Council of Dubai, and a number of officials.

During the visit, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid reviewed the contents of the Kuwaiti pavilion, which participates under the “Visit Kuwait” tourism identity. The pavilion showcases the diverse tourism assets and experiences that abound in the State of Kuwait.

Pavilion organizers welcomed HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s visit, emphasizing its significance and what it reflects in terms of support for Kuwait’s tourism presence and the enhancement of communication and cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

In this context, Dr. Nasser Muhsin stated that Kuwait’s participation in the Arabian Travel Market 2026 in Dubai aligns with the Ministry’s strategy to strengthen Kuwait’s presence on the regional and international tourism map, presenting it as a unified destination with diverse, developable, and investable tourism assets.

The Ministry of Information noted in a statement to KUNA that Kuwait launched its external tourism presence under the “Visit Kuwait” identity through its participation in the exhibition, which opened today and runs until the 17th. The participation involves the Ministry of Information, represented by the Tourism Affairs Department, alongside Kuwait Airways and the Kuwait Hotel Owners Association.

Dr. Muhsin said that launching and strengthening the “Visit Kuwait” identity represents a crucial step toward presenting Kuwait as a unified tourism destination. He affirmed that the Ministry of Information, as the supervising authority for “Visit Kuwait,” is working to unify promotional efforts for the Kuwaiti tourism destination and highlight the country’s assets, thereby raising awareness of Kuwait as a tourist destination and attracting more visitors from targeted markets.

He added that the importance of participating in a specialized event of the scale of the Arabian Travel Market extends beyond media promotion to include direct engagement with decision-makers and tourism and travel specialists, as well as identifying modern trends in the tourism industry and exploring cooperation and partnership opportunities that could positively impact the growth of Kuwait’s tourism sector.

Dr. Muhsin emphasized the importance of integration between government entities and the private sector in supporting tourism, noting that the presence of Kuwait Airways and the Kuwait Hotel Owners Association within the pavilion reflects the desire to present a comprehensive tourism system, starting from destination promotion, moving through air transport, and ending with accommodation and hospitality services.

For his part, Yusuf Al-Dhafiri, Director of Public Relations at Kuwait Airways, said in the statement that the national carrier’s participation within the Kuwaiti pavilion underscores its role as a key partner in supporting and developing tourism activity in Kuwait.

Al-Dhafiri added that the aviation sector is one of the main components of the tourism system, noting that Kuwait Airways continues to work on enhancing its network of destinations and services to support passenger movement and connect Kuwait with regional and international markets and destinations.

He clarified that participation provides Kuwait Airways with the opportunity to engage with airlines, travel agencies, tour operators, and other companies from various markets, and to explore cooperation opportunities that would support tourism activity and enhance Kuwait’s attractiveness as an easily accessible destination through its air transport network.

For his part, Abdulilah Ma’arfi, Vice President of the Kuwait Hotel Owners Association, said in the statement that the hotel sector’s participation within the Kuwaiti pavilion represents an important step toward strengthening the presence of Kuwait’s hotel products in front of regional and international tourism markets.

Ma’arfi stated that hotels are one of the main components of the tourism system and that the success of any tourism destination is linked to the integration of its elements, foremost among which are accommodation facilities and hotel services.

He added that participation in the exhibition provides an opportunity to meet with representatives of travel and tourism companies, tour operators, and hospitality specialists, to introduce the services and capabilities offered by the hospitality sector in Kuwait, and to explore cooperation opportunities and attract more tourism programs and groups to the country.

Ma’arfi emphasized the importance of partnership between the public and private sectors in developing Kuwaiti tourism, noting that the presence of the Kuwait Hotel Owners Association within the pavilion alongside the Ministry of Information and Kuwait Airways embodies this integration and enhances Kuwait’s ability to offer a comprehensive tourism product to targeted markets.

The Kuwaiti pavilion forms a unified platform for promoting the Kuwaiti tourism destination under the “Visit Kuwait” umbrella. During the exhibition days, it showcases promotional and informational materials about destinations, landmarks, and tourism experiences in Kuwait, along with services related to aviation and hospitality.

The participation program includes holding a number of bilateral meetings and sessions with representatives of travel and tourism companies, tour operators, and specialized entities to explore cooperation and partnership opportunities and promote Kuwait within regional and international tourism programs and products.
