The team responsible for establishing the National Center for Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management at the national level, “Aman,” visited the Italian Civil Protection Department to learn about Italy’s experience in crisis and disaster management, as well as its coordination mechanisms, emergency response procedures, and decision-support systems at the national level.
In a press statement yesterday, the “Aman” team said that this visit is part of the team’s program to study international experiences and benefit from best practices in civil protection and crisis and disaster management, thereby supporting efforts to develop Kuwait’s national system.
During the visit, the team reviewed the center’s operational mechanisms, communication and coordination systems during crises, and procedures for handling various emergency situations, as well as the role of the systems and technologies used to enhance response speed and improve crisis management efficiency.
The visit also included the Italian Civil Protection’s training center, where the team examined training, qualification, exercises, and simulation programs designed to enhance the readiness of personnel and response teams, and explored ways to leverage Italy’s experience in capacity building and specialized training.
