Ministry of Housing Launches More Investment Opportunities via Digital Platforms

Cairo – Nadeh Imam The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities has continued to offer a diverse range of investment opportunities in the new cities through digital platforms for Egyptian and foreign investment, in both local and foreign currencies, operated by the New Urban Communities Authority, from the 1st to the 15th of each month. This initiative aims to attract more investments, maximize the utilization of state-owned assets, enhance the investment climate, facilitate procedures for investors, and support the state’s efforts in digital transformation and governance.

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, stated that the new offerings are part of the state’s direction to maximize the use of available investment opportunities in the new cities and to support private sector participation in implementing developmental and urban projects.

She clarified that the Ministry of Housing aims to increase the private sector’s contribution to executing urban development projects, noting that private investment constitutes one of the fundamental pillars for achieving the state’s targets, especially in light of the unprecedented urban expansion witnessed by the new cities, which attract government investments amounting to hundreds of billions of pounds in infrastructure, roads, utilities, and services projects.

The proposed investment activities encompass more than 15 sectors, including commercial, administrative, medical, educational, sports, recreational, hotel, tourism, service, and logistics activities, as well as mixed-use projects, thereby meeting the development needs of the new cities.
