Launch of Waqf Banking Services by the Waqf Authority via the Sahel App

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced the official launch of the endowment banks service for the General Secretariat of Endowments through the unified government services application “Sahel,” to enhance digital transformation and elevate the services provided, thereby simplifying procedures and expanding options for electronic endowments. The ministry stated that this service enables users to complete endowment procedures with ease, security, and convenience, from filling in data and selecting the bank to confirming the transaction and receiving an electronic notification, without the need to visit the General Secretariat of Endowments. It noted that the endowment services include a number of banks playing a key role in implementing various development projects, including those related to mosques, orphan sponsorship, water provision, and the Kuwait Endowment Authority. The General Secretariat of Endowments attaches great importance to fulfilling its assigned role and the responsibility of executing endowment deeds, and through its endowment projects, it seeks to strengthen the role of endowments in serving society and achieving sustainable development. Gratitude and appreciation were expressed to donors, with an appeal for them to continue contributing to the General Secretariat of Endowments, in honor of the noble Prophetic tradition, to sustain generosity, and to enhance the role of endowments in community development.
