“The Blue”.. “Morning Recovery and an Evening Art Lecture”

The technical staff of the national first football team, led by Portuguese coach Helio Sousa, has decided to grant the players physical rest from evening training sessions, with a theoretical technical lecture scheduled to explain certain details and errors that occurred during previous training sessions, as well as tactical drills ahead of yesterday’s match against Qatari side Al-Lusail. The Blue Team is currently in Doha, preparing for the Gulf Cup 27, whose matches will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from the 23rd of this month until October 6 next year. Kuwait is placed in Group A alongside Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Iraq.

The medical team, headed by Dr. Abdulmajid Al-Banna, will monitor the players on a daily basis, particularly during morning hours, to ensure their well-being and closely follow the recovery process, out of concern for fatigue or muscle injuries. This is especially important as the Blue Team will depart for Jeddah next Wednesday and will play a friendly match against Yemen on Friday. Meanwhile, Kuwaiti players currently in Abu Dhabi with the national team are participating in the opening match of their AFC Champions League 2 campaign against UAE club Al-Ittihad Kalba.

In a related development, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Qatar, Ahmed Al-Sharim, and Chargé d’Affaires Ahmed Al-Haroon, visited the Blue Team’s training session yesterday as part of their training camp in Qatar. Assistant Football Association Vice President for Technical Affairs, Ayman Al-Husseini, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Ambassador for his efforts in providing all the needs of the Blue Team delegation during their Doha camp, praising the significant attention shown by the Kuwaiti Embassy in Qatar to facilitate the delegation’s work at the camp.
