Kuwait Olympic Committee Continues Preparations for the Asian Games

Yaqoub Al-Adwani Preparations for the national handball team in Japan are underway as they gear up for the Asian Games, scheduled to begin on the 19th in Nagoya, Japan. The national team has been placed in Group B alongside Bahrain, South Korea, Iran, and Kazakhstan.

In this context, National Teams Director Faisal Saywan affirmed that everyone is working tirelessly to ensure the Blue Team reaches the appropriate level of readiness for the tournament’s competitions. He noted that the group is challenging due to the close competitive level among the participating teams, all of which have strong chances of achieving positive results, just like the Blue Team.

He added, “We look forward to presenting ourselves in a manner befitting the name and reputation of Kuwaiti handball, and to achieving our set objectives through positive results.”

Saywan also confirmed the success of the preparation plan, which included local and international training camps and various friendly matches against teams with diverse tactical and technical styles, benefiting the players physically, mentally, and technically.

On another note, former Kazma Club and national team player Mishaari Taha officially announced his retirement after a long career representing the national team and clubs including Kazma, Salibikhaet, Kuwait SC, and Al-Arabi, during which he won two Asian titles and helped the national team qualify for the World Cup twice.
