Deputy Minister of Higher Education: Support for joint Gulf efforts to develop educational and research systems

Dr. Badr Al-Basiri, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, affirmed the State of Kuwait’s commitment to continuing its support for joint Gulf cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research, in a manner that contributes to the development of educational and research systems and enhances their outcomes.
This statement came during Dr. Al-Basiri’s participation via video conference in the preparatory meeting of the deputy ministers of higher education and scientific research from the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), ahead of the 26th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, scheduled to be held next Wednesday in the Bahraini capital of Manama.
Dr. Al-Basiri clarified that enhancing the exchange of expertise and experiences among GCC member states constitutes a fundamental pillar for developing the higher education and scientific research sectors and supporting the trajectory of joint Gulf development.
The meeting discussed several items on the agenda and ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination among GCC member states in the fields of higher education and scientific research, as well as follow-up on initiatives and topics of shared Gulf interest.
