Deputies of the Ministries of Education in GCC countries discuss Kuwait's initiative to unify the education system

Alaa Khalifa, Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Khaled Al-Rasheed participated in the preparatory meeting of the deputy ministers of education from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries for the tenth meeting of the GCC Ministers of Education Committee, to discuss several items on the agenda.
The meeting addressed a number of joint Gulf educational files, most notably the development of the work of the Arab Bureau of Education for Gulf Countries, and the Gulf Education Strategy 2026-2030, alongside discussions on topics related to technical and vocational education and training, planning, coordination, and follow-up.
The participants also discussed updates on the implementation of the fourth goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which pertains to education, as well as topics concerning scouting and guiding, instilling financial literacy among students, international cooperation, and joint procurement of educational materials, systems, and equipment.
The agenda also included the State of Kuwait’s initiative to unify the education system in GCC countries, its initiative regarding the Gulf School Sports League, and the program of competitions for Gulf students.
Additionally, the meeting discussed the Gulf Strategy to Combat Drugs, the State of Kuwait’s initiative for student and teacher exchange programs for gifted students and outstanding teachers, as well as the topic of strategic transformation in general education, along with several other issues related to enhancing cooperation and joint coordination among the ministries of education in the GCC countries.
