Cooperation Protocol between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth to Discover and Nurture Student Talents and Prepare Them

Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabatabai and Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma stressed the importance of a joint cooperation protocol between the two sides, aimed at enhancing their partnership and coordination in the field of school sports and developing programs and sports activities directed at students.
The two ministers, in separate statements to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday, following the signing of a joint cooperation protocol between the two ministries, said that this would also contribute to discovering, developing, and honing sports talents, while encouraging students to engage in sports and strengthening their presence as a fundamental part of the educational and pedagogical system.
Minister Al-Tabatabai told KUNA that the agreement comes within the framework of the Ministry of Education’s commitment to providing a comprehensive educational environment that extends beyond academics to include sports, cultural, and social activities, thereby contributing to building students’ personalities and developing their abilities and talents.
He added that cooperation with the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, the Kuwait School Sports Federation, and the Ministry of Higher Education represents an important step toward developing the school sports system, discovering students with sports talents, and honing their skills, thus providing them with greater opportunities to represent the State of Kuwait at international sporting events.
For his part, Minister Al-Jalahma affirmed that the cooperation protocol reflects the importance of integrating government efforts and sports and educational institutions in supporting Kuwaiti youth, noting that investing in students and youth is an investment in Kuwait’s future.
Al-Jalahma told KUNA that the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Kuwait School Sports Federation, would work to support school sports programs and initiatives and provide a suitable environment for discovering talents and developing their capabilities, thereby enhancing the presence of sports in students’ lives and encouraging them to adopt healthy and active lifestyles.
The signing of the protocol comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation and coordination among entities concerned with education, youth, and sports, aiming to elevate school sports, expand the base of participants in sports activities, discover and nurture student talents, and prepare them according to scientific and methodological foundations.
