Burqan includes Diouf, Qasim, and Sydney

Khaled Al-Humaidan: Al-Burqan Club’s management has finalized three new contracts to bolster the first-team squad, signing Congolese defender Mokuba Dioufi, Tunisian midfielder Chedly Kassem, and French striker Obissa Sidney.

The trio joins Frenchman Sullivan Zakari and Nigerian Emmanuel Evaristus, completing the club’s quota of five foreign players. Al-Burqan board member and head of football affairs, Mohammed Al-Saud, said, “We hope these signings will enable the team to deliver an outstanding performance in the Zen League First Division, which kicks off on October 8 next year, as they compete for two promotion spots to the Premier League.”

Al-Saud noted that the players’ morale has been high during recent training sessions under the guidance of Russian coach Alexander Vladimirovich. He added that Al-Burqan will travel to Alexandria, Egypt, on Tuesday for a training camp running until the first of next month, during which the team will play three friendly matches. Al-Saud clarified that the club’s management also organized an external training camp for the under-19 youth team in Egypt, with the delegation returning to the country yesterday after a 10-day stay.
