"Your Excellency" .. and Nour Al-Sharif

In celebration of the artistic legacy of the late actor Nour El Sherif, Radio Cinema in central Cairo hosted an art exhibition titled “The Presence of Mr. Nour El Sherif,” curated by director Mohsen Hadid. The exhibition features original movie posters and photographs from Nour El Sherif’s films, alongside costumes worn by his characters and various props that appeared in several of his cinematic works. It also includes a photo darkroom that recreates scenes from the films “Al-Khawf” (Fear, 1972) and “Darbat Shams” (Sunstroke, 1980), reflecting Nour El Sherif’s personal passion for photography and the world of cameras. Photography was one of his hobbies outside of acting, a fact that influenced his portrayal of the photographer characters in those two films. Throughout his artistic career, Nour El Sherif appeared in more than 250 diverse works across cinema, television drama, and theater, including 180 feature films. Seven of his films were ranked among the top 100 films in the history of Egyptian cinema.
