The Applied College Welcomes 60,000 Students Tomorrow Amid Comprehensive Readiness and Preparations

The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) will welcome approximately 60,000 students, both returning and new, across its various campuses tomorrow, Sunday, with the launch of the 2026/2027 academic and training year. This figure includes 8,932 new students admitted to colleges and 2,146 students enrolling in training courses.
Earlier, the Authority announced that it had completed all preparations across its affiliated colleges, institutes, and facilities. During a meeting with relevant leaders and officials, PAAET Director General Dr. Hassan Al-Fajam reviewed the latest preparations and accomplishments, emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure an organized and smooth start to the academic year and the continuity of educational and training processes.
PAAET confirmed the completion of maintenance and preparation works at five applied colleges and eight training institutes. These works encompassed civil, electrical, and technical tasks, as well as the preparation of laboratories, sports facilities, and theaters. Additionally, major repairs were carried out on housing for scholarship students, elevators were maintained, and the infrastructure for security cameras was finalized.
The Authority also stressed the full readiness of security, safety, and fire suppression systems across all sites, and noted ongoing coordination with relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Interior, to manage vehicle and traffic movement within its premises.
Regarding support services, PAAET stated that 246 buses have been provided for student transportation, including buses designated for students with special needs. A round-the-clock transportation service has been arranged for scholarship students. Furthermore, preparation and cleaning works have been completed, and food services and self-service vending machines for meals and beverages are now available.
The Authority affirmed that deploying these logistical and technical resources reflects its commitment to providing a safe and comprehensive educational and training environment. This ensures the enhancement of services offered to students and enables the Authority to fulfill its academic and professional mission with efficiency and competence.
