Renewed Israeli attacks on western rural Damascus and rural Quneitra

Israeli occupation forces renewed their attacks on southern Syria, shelling the area around Bat al-Warda hill near the town of Beit Jinn in western Damascus countryside yesterday with artillery. The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that artillery shells fired by the occupation fell in the vicinity of the hill, with no reports of casualties.

This comes after Israeli occupation forces earlier in the day also struck the outskirts of Beit Jinn in western Damascus countryside with an artillery shell. Additionally, Israeli forces arrested a father and his son from the town of Al-Rafid in Quneitra countryside, southern Syria, during a penetration of the area with six military vehicles.

Heavy machine guns were used to target residential neighborhoods in the village of Ma’arib in western Daraa countryside, coinciding with the flight of drones in the area’s skies.

Earlier, on Thursday, three Israeli military vehicles, including two armored personnel carriers, penetrated the village of Jumla in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Daraa countryside, before later withdrawing toward occupied Golan territories.

Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated penetrations into southern Syria and conducting raid operations, while Syria insists on urging the international community to take action to halt these violations and compel the occupation to fully withdraw from its territories.
