Al-Hail: Launch of 10 new e-services via the 'Sahl' app to facilitate transactions for persons with disabilities

The Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities announced the launch of 10 new e-services via the “Sahl” application, aiming to streamline procedures and save time and effort for persons with disabilities and their caregivers. This initiative follows directives from political leadership to enhance the quality of government services and facilitate citizens’ access to them, reflecting the state’s commitment to strengthening services provided to persons with disabilities.

Dr. Khalifa Al-Hila, Deputy Director General of the Medical, Psychological, and Social Services Sector at the Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities, stated that the launch of these services is part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop its e-services and improve the level of services provided to beneficiaries, enabling them to complete various transactions and access services electronically with ease.

Al-Hila clarified that the new services include the following:

1. Request for a letter to reduce working hours for persons with disabilities and their caregivers.

2. Request for a certificate for whom it may concern.

3. Receipt of certificates, including the disability certificate and the caregiver certificate.

4. Scheduling appointments with medical committees.

5. Request for certificate renewal.

6. Request for retirement for persons with disabilities.

7. Request for hearing aids.

8. Request for a wheelchair.

9. Request for fingerprint exemption for persons with disabilities.

10. Submission of a parking permit application.

Al-Hila noted that the launch of these services complements the Authority’s efforts to develop e-services and simplify procedures for beneficiaries, aligning with the state’s direction toward digital transformation and providing more efficient and accessible government services.

He emphasized that the Authority continues to work on developing and adding more e-services that meet the needs of persons with disabilities and their caregivers, contributing to easier access to the Authority’s services, reducing the need for in-person visits, and improving the speed and efficiency of transaction processing.
