Ministry of Education: The issuance of military uniforms by a school administration was an individual act that does not represent the Ministry

In response to social media reports alleging that a school administration had circulated a post containing instructions for parents regarding military attire when visiting the school, the Ministry of Education clarified that the issuance of such directives was an individual action by the school administration and did not reflect any official stance or decision taken by the Ministry.

The Ministry emphasized in its statement that the Comprehensive Educational Regulations serve as the authoritative reference governing operations in schools, stressing that all school administrations must adhere to its provisions, as well as to official decisions and circulars issued by the Ministry, and must not unilaterally introduce new rules or instructions without consulting the competent authorities.

The Ministry further stated that it has initiated the necessary administrative and legal measures regarding the incident, directing the concerned school administration to immediately remove the post and referring the matter to an administrative investigation to ascertain the circumstances and hold those responsible accountable in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations.

In this context, the Ministry expressed its pride and appreciation for members of military and security agencies, commending their national role and their sincere efforts in serving the State of Kuwait and safeguarding its security and stability.

The Ministry reiterated to all school administrations the necessity of complying with the Comprehensive Educational Regulations, approved official decisions and circulars, and adhering to the frameworks and rules governing school operations, prohibiting any independent issuance of instructions or regulations without referring to the relevant authorities within the Ministry.
