Israel bombs tents for displaced persons and ambulances in Gaza, arrests released prisoners and journalists in the West Bank
Health authorities in Gaza announced the death of four Palestinians from the same family and injuries to several others in violent clashes between Israeli occupation forces and Palestinians in the northern areas of the Strip. In a statement, the authorities said the clashes were accompanied by a series of airstrikes carried out by Israeli occupation aircraft on several areas, amid heavy shelling and the advance of occupation forces in those regions.
It added that ambulance and rescue teams faced difficulties reaching the targeted areas and retrieving the victims due to the continuation of shelling and the dangerous field conditions.
A Palestinian security source in Gaza stated that Israeli warplanes launched two air raids early yesterday on Beit Lahiya and the Jabalia refugee camp, while Israeli forces also shelled tents for displaced persons and ambulances.
On another front, the Palestinian Prisoners Club said Israeli occupation forces arrested more than 100 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including children, women, released prisoners, and journalists.
The club noted in a statement that occupation forces continue to escalate arrest operations across various governorates of the West Bank, accompanied by a series of violations and crimes, including field executions, field interrogations of dozens of citizens, and their assault and ill-treatment, alongside threats against detainees and their families.
The statement highlighted among the most prominent detainees the released prisoner Ahmed Al-Saifi, who had been freed as part of the recent exchange deal, clarifying that occupation forces arrested two journalists and a group of released prisoners.
It pointed out that during the arrest operations, occupation forces carried out widespread raids on homes, searching and vandalizing their contents, causing damage to property, and converting several homes into military barracks. They also detained citizens as hostages to pressure members of their families, alongside the continuation of mass arrest operations targeting entire neighborhoods and areas during the raids.
