Sergeant Major Complains of Citizen Who Threatened Him With “I Am an Advisor”

Ahmad Khamis: Kuwait Airport Security referred an incident that occurred at the departure gate in Terminal 4, after a security sergeant working in airport security objected to a checkpoint guard allowing a traveler to pass before completing departure procedures. According to the report, the security officer approached the checkpoint guard to inquire about the reason for opening the barrier, at which point the traveler intervened, raising his voice in front of other passengers and telling him: “I am a consultant at one of the institutions” and that he belongs to a family of high standing, as stated in the official report. The source noted that the traveler was allowed to leave the country, while the security officer filed a case against him, which was referred to the competent authorities. The defendant will be interrogated upon his return to the country.
