The Meteorology Department has forecast that the country’s weather will generally be hot and relatively humid on the coasts during the day over the weekend, and warm to moderate and relatively humid at night, particularly along the coastal areas.

The Acting Director of the Department, Essam Al-Ali, told KUNA that weather maps show the country is affected by an extension of the Indian monsoon low, accompanied by a hot and relatively humid air mass, especially in coastal regions. Winds will be variable to southeasterly, shifting to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed.

Al-Ali clarified that the weather on Friday daytime will be hot and relatively humid on coastal areas, with winds variable to southeasterly, light to moderate in speed, ranging between 8 and 30 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius, while the sea will be calm to moderately rough, with wave heights between 1 and 4 feet.

He added that Friday night’s weather will be warm to moderate and relatively humid, particularly in coastal areas, with winds variable to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, ranging between 8 and 28 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be calm to moderately rough, with wave heights between 1 and 3 feet.

Regarding Saturday’s daytime weather, Al-Ali said it will be hot and relatively humid on coastal areas, with winds variable to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, ranging between 8 and 30 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be calm to moderately rough, with wave heights between 1 and 3 feet.

He noted that Saturday night will be warm and relatively humid, particularly in coastal areas, with winds northwesterly to variable, light to moderate in speed, ranging between 8 and 28 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be calm to moderately rough, with wave heights between 1 and 3 feet.
