In Video: «Customs»: Foiled smuggling of alcoholic beverages in a truck at the vegetable market

The General Customs Authority stated that its inspectors, during an inspection of the vegetable market under the supervision of the Salibya Customs Administration, seized a quantity of alcoholic beverages while inspecting one of the trucks. The Authority clarified in a press release that the inspection resulted in the seizure of 11 bottles of alcoholic beverage, in addition to one bottle of beer. The Authority emphasized that the discovery of the seized items was due to the customs officers’ professional intuition, vigilance, and diligence during routine inspection procedures. It further added that contact was made with the Customs Investigation and Inquiry Administration, and coordination was established with the General Administration for Combating Narcotics at the Ministry of Interior, to take the necessary legal measures regarding the incident and the seized items.
