“Al-Haydunak Ghumdu” Honors the Naval Club
The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Kuwaiti Haidong Gumdo Committee honored the Board of Directors of the Marine Club at a ceremony held at the club’s administrative diwaniya. Attendees included the club’s chairman, Fahad Al-Fahad, his deputy, Ali Al-Qabandi, the General Secretary, Khaled Al-Fudari, his deputy, Mahmoud Abu Al-Qasim, and board member Mohammed Hamza. Also present from the Haidong Gumdo Committee’s board were Chairman Badr Al-Muzaini, his deputy Anwar Al-Atwal, secretary Hala Al-Hasawi, and board members Zaid Al-Khatib and Abdulrahman Al-Azmi, alongside coaches Ahmed Sultan and Abdullah Al-Balushi, and coach Luzviminda.
Al-Muzaini delivered a speech on behalf of the committee’s board, expressing appreciation, pride, and gratitude for the Marine Club’s prominent role in hosting, supporting, and sponsoring Haidong Gumdo (Korean sword sport), and for its contributions to the sport’s development. He noted that the sport was subsequently recognized and officially affiliated with the Kuwait Olympic Committee as an affiliated sports committee. He praised the Kuwait Olympic Committee’s role, its interest in the sport, and its establishment of a specialized committee comprising a select group of members.
For his part, club chairman Fahad Al-Fahad expressed his thanks and appreciation for the honor initiative, congratulating Al-Muzaini and the board on the well-deserved status they have attained from the Kuwait Olympic Committee, and wishing them continued progress for the benefit of Haidong Gumdo.
