Ministry of Food: 108 kg of unfit-for-human-consumption food items destroyed

Nada Abu Nasr: As part of the continuous supervisory efforts undertaken by the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition to protect consumer health and safety, the Inspection Department of the Capital Governorate managed to seize a number of violations. These included the circulation of food unfit for human consumption and spoiled, with altered natural properties in terms of color, shape, and odor, as well as the circulation of adulterated food products despite the absence of nutritional labeling. Additionally, there was non-compliance with the general health requirements for food establishments and failure to adhere to general hygiene standards during operations. A total of 108.040 kilograms of food items unfit for human consumption and adulterated were destroyed.
