Spokesman for the Coalition: The Houthi terrorist militia carried out attacks on Khmis Mushait, Abha, and Jizan with ballistic missiles and drones

The official spokesperson for the coalition forces (the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen), Major General Turki Al-Maliki, announced “the continued heinous attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia on the national assets and infrastructure of the Kingdom.”
In a statement posted on his official Twitter account, Major General Al-Maliki clarified that “the persistence of these attacks confirms the Houthi terrorist militia’s approach and extremist ideology of escalation and targeting civilians in the Kingdom. Today, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, the militia launched attacks against the cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Jazan using ballistic missiles and drones.”
He emphasized that the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition responded to these attacks “responsibly to protect the Kingdom’s sovereignty and national assets, and to safeguard civilians and civilian objects from these heinous attacks, in accordance with the principle of self-defense under international law and Article 51 of the UN Charter, and in compliance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.”
