Fahad Al-Nasser: We strive to make a respectable appearance at the Asian Games

Sheikh Fahad Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, stated on the occasion of the departure of the national teams’ delegation to compete in the 20th Asian Games “Aichi-Nagoya 2026,” that this participation represents an important milestone for sports and an opportunity to showcase the capabilities of Kuwaiti athletes at one of the largest Asian sporting platforms. He confirmed that the delegation comprises 120 male and female athletes competing in 16 sports: shooting, athletics, football, golf, modern pentathlon, fencing, teqball, sport climbing, karate, equestrian, squash, jiu-jitsu, swimming, handball, padel, and sailing. He noted that the Olympic Committee has ensured providing all necessary support to prepare the delegation and enable it to present itself in a manner befitting the name of the State of Kuwait. Sheikh Fahad Al-Nasser expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Prince Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and to His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, for their continuous support of the sports movement and their keen interest in the nation’s athletes. He also extended his thanks to the private sector, represented by Zain Kuwait and Kuwait Finance House, for their strategic partnership with the Olympic Committee and their ongoing support for sports and athletes. The Committee President urged the athletes to represent Kuwait with high spirit and strong determination, wishing them success and the achievement of accomplishments that will bring joy to the people and raise the national flag high at the Asian Games.
