Kuwait officials: The board of directors of Al-Sahel Club, in agreement with the administrative and technical staff of the first football team, has decided to hold an external training camp in Egypt, starting next Tuesday. The camp will last for 40 days, coinciding with the current suspension of local competitions due to the participation of “Al-Azraq” (The Blues) in “Gulf Cup 27,” which runs from the 23rd of this month until October 6, in preparation for resuming the Zain Premier League on the 9th of next month.
The “Sons of Abu Halifa” have agreed to play four friendly matches in Egypt, including two against Saudi teams, Hittin and Jerash, as well as against Egyptian club Wadi Degla. The fourth match will be determined in the coming days.
Al-Sahel is scheduled to play one friendly match one day before departing for the camp, against the Police Union team, which will participate in the Zain First Division this season.
Al-Sahel resumed training yesterday after coach Ali Abdul-Razzaq granted the players a rest period following their last match against Al-Salmiya in the third round of the Zain Premier League on Sunday, which ended in a 1-0 defeat.
