Visual artist M. Rabiah Ali Al-Murad and artisan specializing in clay modeling, A. Noura Abdullah Al-Azmi, participated in the events of the 23rd edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, organized by ADNOC Group in strategic partnership with the Emirates Falconers Club, under the slogan “Our Heritage, Our Pride and Honor,” from August 28 to the 6th of this month.
M. Rabiah Al-Murad presented a series of artistic compositions inspired by the feathers of the houbara bustard, in an experience that combined aesthetic appeal with artistic concept, attracting the attention of participating artists and exhibition visitors. Al-Murad was keen to present her unique vision by employing houbara-related motifs in her works, including deconstructing the word “houbara” into “hub unra” (meaning “I love to see”), alongside her artistic style linked to the subconscious, which gave her works a notable visual and intellectual presence.
As for A. Noura Al-Azmi, she participated with a collection of her works in the art of clay modeling, which received appreciation and strong interest from exhibition visitors, particularly due to the diversity of products and designs that resonated with the public’s interests, as well as the high demand for their purchase. Al-Azmi’s participation was not limited to displaying her works; she also contributed to covering various aspects of the exhibition events and highlighting the participating artists, artisans, and companies, reflecting the importance of this event, which goes beyond showcasing products and artworks to open a space for promoting the cultural heritage, crafts, and arts associated with it.
The participation of Al-Murad and Al-Azmi underscores the presence of Kuwaiti visual arts and handicrafts in Gulf cultural forums, and reflects the ability of Kuwaiti artists and artisans to offer experiences that are distinctive yet open to other cultures, in an exhibition that has become a platform for communication and civilizational rapprochement among different peoples and cultures.
