Al-Shaybani and Saffadi discuss the Syrian-Jordanian-American roadmap in Suwayda

Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad al-Shaibani received Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi in the capital, Damascus. The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that “the meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the enhancement of cooperation in all fields, as well as preparations for the third session of the Supreme Coordination Council, scheduled to be held in Damascus next October.”
The developments in southern Syria and the implementation process of the trilateral roadmap between the Syrian Arab Republic, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the United States of America regarding As-Suwayda Governorate were also discussed.
The day before yesterday, the Syrian Foreign Minister met in the Turkish capital, Ankara, with U.S. Presidential Special Envoy for Syria and Iraq Thomas Barrack. During the meeting, the latest developments and updates in the region were discussed, and ways to strengthen bilateral relations in a manner that serves the common interests of the two friendly countries were explored, according to the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
