Electronic lottery for Hajj of civil associations to be held next Tuesday

Cairo – Hanaa El-Sayed: Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the National Authority for Facilitating Hajj, chaired a meeting of the Authority’s Board of Trustees at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Capital, to discuss preparations for organizing the 1448H/2027M Hajj season.
The Minister of Social Solidarity announced that the electronic lottery to select pilgrims from civil society organizations for the 1448H/2027M season will be held next Tuesday, September 15. The lottery will select 12,000 pilgrims from among the 66,000 applicants who submitted requests during the registration period for civil society organization Hajj. She noted that this quota was allocated by the Supreme Committee for Hajj, chaired by the Prime Minister, and implemented by the National Authority for Facilitating Hajj, which operates under the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
She added that the electronic lottery will be conducted centrally via the Unified Hajj Portal to select winning pilgrims from all governorates, in proportion to the number of applications submitted in each governorate, and according to available capacity levels. One supervisor will be assigned for every 46 pilgrims. The public electronic lottery will be held centrally on the Unified Egyptian Hajj Portal, with representatives from each governorate in attendance. The final results of the lottery will be announced on the websites of the Ministry and the National Authority for Facilitating Hajj, and disseminated through the Social Affairs Directorates and Departments.
