The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its strong condemnation and rejection today, Wednesday, of the continued, reprehensible Iranian attacks on Jordan, which constitute a blatant violation of international law, the UN Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817, and pose a serious threat to regional security and stability.
In a statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom’s full solidarity with Jordan and its complete support for all measures taken by Jordan to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory. It praised the vigilance of the Jordanian Armed Forces’ air defense system, which successfully intercepted the missiles and countered these reprehensible attacks.
Bahrain reiterated the call for the UN Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities and take firm measures to compel Iran to halt its aggressive actions against countries in the region, thereby contributing to de-escalation, reduced tensions, and the preservation of regional security and peace.
