Kuwait condemns Iranian attacks on Jordan: a blatant violation of its sovereignty and a flagrant breach of the principles of international law

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the reprehensible Iranian attacks that targeted the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with a number of missiles, which constitute a blatant violation of its sovereignty and a flagrant breach of the principles of international law, the UN Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817.

The Ministry emphasized the necessity of halting these attacks, prioritizing de-escalation and dialogue, and adhering to the rules of international law, in order to safeguard the security and stability of the region and spare its peoples further tension and escalation.

Kuwait reaffirmed its full solidarity with the sister Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its support for all measures undertaken by Jordan to uphold its sovereignty and preserve its security and stability.
