Jordanian Army: We were subjected to a missile attack originating from Iran, with no casualties reported

The official spokesperson for the Jordanian Armed Forces, the Arab Army, stated that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was subjected to a missile attack originating from Iranian territory.

In a statement relayed by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the official spokesperson clarified that Jordanian air defense systems engaged 20 ballistic missiles launched toward Jordanian territory, successfully intercepting and destroying 18 of them, while two missiles fell in uninhabited areas.

He affirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces, the Arab Army, responded to the threat in accordance with established operational procedures, ensuring the protection of the Kingdom’s airspace and the safety of its citizens. He added that monitoring, follow-up, and assessment operations are ongoing, and that, according to field assessments, no casualties were recorded as a result of this attack.
