“No to Waste, Yes to Sustainability”: Awareness Campaign to Make Use of Food Scraps

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has called for making use of food leftovers and reusing them in safe and innovative ways, contributing to reducing food waste and promoting concepts of sustainability and rational consumption. The Authority emphasized that responsible handling of food surplus helps reduce the amount of wasted food and ensures optimal use of resources, stressing the importance of proper meal planning and storing food according to health requirements to ensure its safety and quality. This awareness campaign is part of the Authority’s efforts to promote sound food culture and enhance public awareness of the importance of reducing food waste under the slogan “No to Waste, Yes to Sustainability.”

On another note, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition participated in the workshop “Sustainable Development and Environmental, Social, and Governance Disclosure Reports,” organized by the Public Authority for Environmental Affairs, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in the fields of sustainability and support national directions toward achieving sustainable development goals. The workshop covered several topics related to the concepts of sustainable development, the importance of environmental, social, and governance disclosure reports, and their role in enhancing sustainable institutional practices. The Authority’s participation underscores its commitment to supporting initiatives and programs that contribute to promoting sustainability and cooperation among government entities.
