Customs Authority Chief Inspects Al-Abdali Border Crossing: Developing the Work Environment and Enhancing Border Readiness

Yousef Al-Nuwaimeer, head of the General Administration of Customs, conducted an unannounced surprise inspection visit to the Abdali border crossing to assess operations and readiness levels on the ground, and to review the implementation of customs procedures across all facilities at the crossing. During the visit, Al-Nuwaimeer inspected work and inspection sites, monitored the movement of passengers, vehicles, and trucks, and evaluated compliance with established regulations and directives, ensuring the smooth flow of procedures and enhancing operational efficiency. The head of the General Administration of Customs emphasized that such surprise visits are part of continuous field follow-up and real-time performance assessment, stressing the need to further develop the work environment and boost the readiness of customs crossings, thereby strengthening national security and facilitating the movement of passengers and trade in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
