Interior Ministry: 21 tankers and trucks used in the theft and trafficking of state-subsidized diesel seized

In accordance with directives from the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, the Ministry of Interior announced that 21 tankers and trucks seized in two separate cases were crushed. These vehicles had been used to steal state-subsidized diesel, aggregate it, transport it, and resell it, as part of efforts to combat such crimes and protect public funds.

The crushing operation included eight tankers and trucks in the first case and 13 in the second, following the registration of both cases and the completion of all legal procedures and public prosecution requirements related to the seized vehicles.

It was revealed that some tanker owners had rented them out under a leasing arrangement, fully aware that they would be used for this illegal activity, thereby facilitating the collection, transportation, and trafficking of stolen diesel.

This measure aims to deter anyone who employs machinery and equipment to commit crimes or makes them available to others while knowing they will be used for illegal activities, and to reinforce respect for the law, protect public funds, and safeguard state resources.
