Gulf Bank Distributes 400 School Bags to Children of Needy Families as Part of the "Back to School" Campaign

For the third consecutive year, and in observance of the start of the new academic year, Gulf Bank distributed 400 fully equipped school bags, complete with all necessary supplies, to students from low-income families. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the “Bashta” and “Manara” volunteer teams, with active participation from the “Sa’wad Al Khaleej” team.

This effort is part of the bank’s “Back to School” campaign, which encompasses a range of events and activities aimed at supporting students’ return to in-person classrooms after a prolonged period of remote learning due to geopolitical developments.

This year, Gulf Bank’s partnership with the “Bashta” initiative coincides with the celebration of Volunteer Day, observed annually on September 5. This alignment underscores the bank’s commitment to the values of giving and human solidarity, and its appreciation for the noble efforts undertaken by volunteers worldwide without compensation. It also aims to inspire young people and future generations to engage in humanitarian work and transform volunteering into a daily practice that contributes to building a more cohesive and peaceful society.

In line with its commitment to reinforcing the principles of community sustainability, Gulf Bank actively participates in various community events throughout the year, with the goal of bringing joy to low-income families and strengthening the motivation of their student children to continue their educational journey. Additionally, the bank provides annual supplementary support to students and parents who hold the bank’s credit and prepaid cards, by offering exclusive deals and discounts on school supplies in collaboration with leading retailers in Kuwait.

The bank also offers a range of distinctive banking services, such as educational loans and various savings accounts designed to promote the concept of saving, including the neo Children’s Account.
