Khandah: Busy with "Hatta Mini" and "50/50"

Kuwaiti actress Kinda Alloush continues her artistic presence in the current period, coinciding with her involvement in several cinematic and dramatic projects, headlined by the film “Hatta Minni,” alongside anticipation for the premiere of the series “Ibn Al-Nassaba,” which has been renamed “50/50” and is set to air on the 17th. Despite her busy schedule with artistic projects and her commitment to selecting roles that address real-world themes and issues, Alloush consistently emphasizes that her family life takes precedence over her professional passions.

In an interview with “Fusha,” Alloush discussed how she strives to balance her private life with her career, noting that her choices have become clearer in recent years, as she tends to allocate more of her time and attention to her home and family. She explained that the scale tips in favor of home and family, particularly because her children are still at an age that requires their mother’s constant presence, prompting her to organize her work schedule in a way that aligns with her family responsibilities.

Alloush added that her sense of responsibility toward her children is the primary driver behind her approach to work. She pointed out that her children are not at fault for their mother choosing to be a working woman and an artist, and therefore she always strives to give them the time and attention they need before becoming occupied with professional commitments.

She affirmed that participating in a global production or acting alongside an international star is not her primary goal when selecting projects. Instead, what matters most to her is that the project is built on a genuine idea and a subject worthy of presentation. She expressed happiness when participating in works that tackle real themes and important content, stressing that the presence of an international star or the project being an Arab co-production is not a decisive factor if the work lacks a strong, realistic foundation.

Alloush cited her participation in the film “The Swimmers” as an example, explaining that while it was a global production featuring foreign actors, what initially attracted her was the film’s subject matter and the story it tells, rather than merely the presence of international elements within the project. She emphasized that diverse elements in any artistic work should be integrated naturally and should not appear forced simply to give the project a global flavor or to increase its chances of widespread distribution.

Among the topics that have drawn significant attention recently is the noticeable change in Alloush’s weight, following her appearances at various events and interviews with a different look that caught the attention of the public and social media users. During her conversation with “Fusha,” Alloush commented on her weight loss, noting that she had previously discussed the matter in an earlier interview and revealed in numbers the amount of weight she has lost, which has reached approximately 14 kilograms so far.

The actress clarified that the numbers themselves are not the most important aspect for her, emphasizing that the change resulted from a set of personal decisions she made to feel happy and comfortable in her life.
