The Teacher's Message

The new academic year for the educational and administrative staff was inaugurated the day before yesterday, Sunday, with the start of classes for all students across all educational stages scheduled for Monday, September 14.

On this joyous occasion, I would like to remind teachers and educators that education is a mission and a trust, not merely a profession. Your pride and honor are well-founded in the words of the Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings be upon him: “Indeed, Allah, His angels, the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, even the ant in its anthill, and even the fish in the sea, send blessings upon the one who teaches people good.”

A teacher’s role is not limited solely to delivering the prescribed academic content in the curriculum. Teachers should recognize that education is an integral part of upbringing (tarbiyah), and education is only beneficial and effective when coupled with moral and character formation. The Prophet, may peace and blessings be upon him, said: “I was sent only to perfect noble character.”

Education without upbringing is like a lamp without light. Therefore, I hope that every teacher and educator will sincerely fulfill their educational and formative mission, serving as positive role models for their students.

As the ancients said: “The action of one man is better than the words of a thousand men to one.”

May Allah grant you success in what He loves and approves, guide your steps, and reward you abundantly for your great mission.
