A delegation from the National Company visits the Nuwaybiba border crossing to monitor development and rehabilitation works

In line with its firm commitment to supporting national projects and strengthening partnerships with government entities, a delegation from National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) conducted a field visit to the Al-Nuwaybisah border crossing to assess the crossing’s needs and monitor development and rehabilitation plans. This visit follows the bank’s national initiative and its contribution of KD 1 million to support the restoration and rehabilitation of the country’s land border crossings.

The visit underscores the bank’s dedication to closely following up on the projects it supports on the ground, and to understanding the requirements for developing vital facilities that serve as strategic gateways for the state. During the visit, the delegation reviewed the crossing’s key operational and technical needs, alongside the targeted development stages and efforts underway to enhance its operational efficiency and improve the level of services provided to travelers and users of the crossing.

This visit complements the initiative recently announced by NBK to support the rehabilitation of land border crossings, which includes the Abdali, Salwa, and Al-Nuwaybisah crossings. The initiative supports government efforts to develop these vital facilities and enhance their readiness in line with current and future operational requirements. During the tour, the bank’s delegation received a detailed briefing on the top development priorities at Al-Nuwaybisah, the mechanisms for implementing targeted works, and the challenges that can be addressed through rehabilitation and development projects, all aimed at improving the user experience and boosting operational efficiency at the crossing.

The bank emphasized that this step reflects its approach of directing its contributions toward projects of national priority and sustainable impact, driven by its national responsibility and its role as an active partner in supporting development plans. It noted that developing border crossings represents an investment in enhancing the efficiency of the state’s strategic facilities and strengthening their readiness to serve various sectors. Furthermore, the bank stated that field follow-up of supported projects is a fundamental part of its approach to ensuring that the objectives of its community and national contributions are achieved, thereby delivering added value to society and amplifying the positive impact of the initiatives it champions.

NBK continues to consolidate its leading position in national and corporate social responsibility by supporting strategic initiatives with sustainable developmental impact. Its contribution to the rehabilitation of land border crossings extends a distinguished track record of initiatives aimed at supporting state institutions and enhancing the efficiency of their vital facilities, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to contributing to the nation’s development journey and fostering effective public-private partnership to serve Kuwait and its people.
