Municipality: Enhancing environmental awareness through the "Sustainable Impact" campaign

As part of its efforts to enhance environmental awareness and consolidate the principles of sustainability, the Environmental Affairs Department of the Kuwait Municipality is organizing the “Sustainable Impact” campaign from September 6 to 10, 2026, at the main municipal building (B). The campaign aims to strengthen a culture of resource conservation among municipal employees and underscore the importance of adopting sustainable behaviors and practices in the workplace, thereby helping to reduce waste and achieve optimal resource utilization.

The campaign addresses several environmental themes, including the rationalization of energy and water consumption, waste reduction, environmental protection, and encouraging active employee participation in implementing practices that promote sustainability in their daily lives and work environment.

The Environmental Affairs Department emphasized that achieving sustainability begins with individual behavior, noting that simple practices adopted by employees can make a real difference in conserving resources and the environment. It added that the campaign seeks to leave a “sustainable impact” whose influence extends into the future.

The “Sustainable Impact” campaign embodies the Kuwait Municipality’s direction toward enhancing environmental responsibility and raising awareness of the importance of resource conservation, thereby supporting the creation of a more sustainable work environment and contributing to a lasting positive impact for future generations.
