Deputy Minister of Interior for Public Security Affairs Inspects Latest Equipment in Civil Protection and Crisis Management

Assistant Assistant Commissioner for Public Security Affairs, Major General Hamad Al-Munaifi, participated in the proceedings of the 16th International Integrated Security Equipment Exhibition, held in the city of Kazan in the Russian Federation. He was accompanied by the Director General of the General Directorate of Civil Defense, Brigadier General Mansour Al-Hushash, as part of efforts to enhance international cooperation and exchange expertise in the fields of security, emergencies, and civil protection.

Major General Al-Munaifi toured the exhibition pavilions, where he reviewed the latest equipment, machinery, and technologies used in civil protection, crisis management, and emergency response. He also attended the conference accompanying the exhibition, which featured specialized sessions and presentations on the protection of critical infrastructure and facilities, early warning systems, and emergency response protocols.

On the sidelines of the events, he held a meeting with Roman Koreninin, Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, during which they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation, exchange expertise, and train personnel, as well as the utilization of robots, drones, and artificial intelligence applications in security and rescue operations.

He also held a side meeting with Imad Kharish, Director General of the Lebanese Civil Defense, to explore ways to develop cooperation and exchange expertise in civil defense and civil protection, and to enhance emergency response efficiency.

This participation aligns with the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to stay abreast of the latest international experiences and technologies, develop operational systems, and improve the efficiency and readiness of relevant agencies in the fields of security, emergencies, and civil protection.
