Tareq Al-Jalahma honors a number of young people in various sports and scientific fields

The Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma, honored a number of Kuwaiti youth who excelled in various sports and scientific fields, raising Kuwait’s name at international forums. The ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, attended by the youths’ parents and supervisors.
In a press statement on this occasion, Minister Al-Jalahma emphasized the Authority’s commitment to continuing its support for Kuwaiti youth across diverse sports and scientific domains, and to providing a suitable environment for honing their skills and motivating them to achieve further successes that reflect Kuwait’s bright image on the international stage.
He clarified that this recognition aligns with the Authority’s dedication to nurturing and encouraging national talents, while also underscoring the family’s role in supporting Kuwaiti youth’s journey toward greater achievements in upcoming challenges.
The honors recognized the accomplishments of the Kuwait national table tennis team, which won multiple medals at the West Asian Women’s Championship held in Jordan, as well as the Kuwait national strength athletics team, which secured an honorable silver medal for Kuwait at the World Strength Championship in South Africa. Additionally, the Kuwait national bowling team’s outstanding performance at Asian championships, where it won a variety of medals that bolstered Kuwait’s standing in the sport, was also celebrated.
On the scientific front, the achievements of students from the Ministry of Education who participated in the International Earth Science Olympiad held in Turin, Italy, were honored. They won eight scientific medals, further enhancing Kuwait’s reputation in global academic forums.
