«Affairs»: Start of personal interviews for 200 citizens to fill 90 «supervisory positions» in the cooperation sector on the 23rd

The Ministry of Social Affairs announced that personal interviews for 200 Kuwaiti nationals who qualified for the positions of Financial Controller and Administrative Controller in the cooperative sector will be held on September 23 and 24. This step aims to complete the selection procedures for national cadres to fill 90 available supervisory positions, comprising 30 Financial Controller posts and 60 Administrative Controller posts, after securing the necessary financial allocations for successful candidates in coordination with the Civil Service Bureau.

The Ministry clarified in a press statement that the list of candidates for the interviews includes 55 applicants for the Financial Controller position and 145 applicants for the Administrative Controller position. It noted that this phase follows the examinations conducted by the Ministry to select the most competent and deserving individuals to undertake supervisory duties in the cooperative sector.

The Ministry stated that the personal interviews will take place over two days, September 23 and 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Undersecretary’s conference room. Candidates will receive email messages specifying their interview schedules to ensure organized attendance and smooth interview procedures.

It was pointed out that the personal interview committee will be chaired by Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, and include several ministry specialists, adhering to approved controls and standards. This ensures that all candidates are subjected to uniform and objective evaluation criteria. The personal interview accounts for 10% of the final evaluation, while the written examination constitutes 85%, with the remaining 5% attributed to other criteria.

The Ministry emphasized that the personal interviews will be documented both visually and audibly, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing transparency, integrity in the selection process, and equal opportunity for all candidates, while ensuring the evaluation process follows clear and uniform standards.

It added that the final results will be officially announced via the Ministry of Social Affairs’ website and its official social media accounts, ensuring they reach all concerned parties through approved official channels.

The Ministry concluded its statement by affirming that this phase represents a significant step in implementing the Kuwaitization of supervisory positions in the cooperative sector, providing opportunities for national talents to assume financial and administrative supervisory responsibilities in cooperative societies. This contributes to enhancing work efficiency and elevating the level of supervision and oversight, thereby translating the directives of the political leadership and the Council of Ministers, as well as the recommendations of Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, Social Development, and Family Affairs, toward strengthening the Kuwaitization process and placing national cadres in targeted positions.
