In Video: Criminal Investigation Department arrests 68 violators and absconders and 3 suspects for theft in Salmi and Umm Ghara

The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Operations Directorate), conducted an extensive security operation in the Al-Salmiya scrapyard and Umghara, as part of ongoing security efforts to apprehend violators and wanted individuals and enforce the rule of law. The operation resulted in the arrest of 68 individuals, including 43 violators of the Labor Law holding residence permits under Articles 18 and 22, 20 violators of the Residency Law holding residence permits under Article 20, three individuals with outstanding absence reports, and two wanted persons in connection with diesel theft cases. Additionally, street vendors were apprehended, and a Kuwaiti national against whom an arrest warrant had been issued for a drug-related case was also detained. The Ministry of Interior confirmed that necessary legal measures have been taken against all those arrested, referring them to the competent authorities to proceed with the appropriate legal actions.
