Omani Sultan and French President Stress Importance of Intensifying Diplomatic Efforts to Consolidate Peace and Security in the Region and the World

Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman and French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized the importance of continuing and intensifying diplomatic efforts and initiatives to help consolidate the foundations of security and peace in the region and worldwide. The official Oman News Agency reported that this came during a telephone call between the two sides, during which they exchanged views on the most prominent current issues and developments on both the regional and international fronts. The agency noted that the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to build on the growing cooperation and partnership they are witnessing, in a manner that serves mutual interests and fulfills the aspirations of their peoples.
