Al-Shatti: Al-Qadsiah sought to improve its image ahead of Al-Nasr

Shaker Al-Shatti, administrator of Al-Qadsieh’s first football team, said after the 3-0 victory over Al-Nassr in the third round of the Zain Premier League that the players wanted to improve the image they presented in the second half against Kuwait, and they succeeded by securing the deserved win. He noted that the players were determined to win and collect the three points to remain among the top teams. Al-Shatti pointed out that the team showed an outstanding level in the first half against Kuwait but failed to capitalize on their chances, then declined inexplicably in the second half. However, against “Al-Anabi,” they managed to exploit opportunities effectively, although they missed other chances that could have resulted in additional goals. He added that the opponent was a “respectable” club, had been leading the league before the match, and boasted a strong mix of local and foreign players under the guidance of national coach Zahir Al-Adwani. Al-Shatti congratulated the players, the administrative and technical staff, the board of directors, and the fans on this victory, affirming that Al-Qadsieh would continue on the same path in upcoming rounds.

For his part, Fahd Rahi, administrator of Al-Nassr’s first football team, said that the early chances missed by his side against Al-Qadsieh could have changed the course of the match before their goal was conceded. He noted that the team was not at its best, which is natural in football. Rahi clarified that this does not mean Al-Nassr did not make mistakes in the match that they should learn from, and undoubtedly, coach Zahir Al-Adwani will work to avoid them in the future through training sessions.
