Tomorrow: "Doroub Arisha" on Kuwait TV

In a move reflecting the Jointly Produced Programmes Organization (JPPO) of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) direction toward expanding the presence of Gulf content, the program “Doroub Arisha” will debut on entertainment screens aboard Kuwait Airways flights starting tomorrow, Monday, as part of a collaboration between the organization and Kuwait’s national carrier.

In a press statement, JPPO Director General Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah emphasized that broadcasting the program on Kuwait Airways represents a new milestone in its journey, offering Gulf content the opportunity to reach a diverse audience both within the region and abroad, in an experience that transcends traditional broadcasting platforms.

He explained that choosing Kuwait as the launchpad for this initiative aligns with the organization’s stature and its regional role, noting that the next phase aims to broaden cooperation to include both government and private Gulf airlines, thereby opening new channels for Gulf productions to reach and expand their audience.

Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah stated that content production does not end at the moment of completion, affirming: “Gulf media production is not complete merely by its creation; it is completed by its reach to the audience and its impact.” He stressed that content quality, marketing, and distribution must proceed hand in hand.

He added that the organization is working to build diverse partnerships with national, Gulf, and private sector institutions, while also seeking new broadcasting platforms that keep pace with the transformations in the media industry and changing audience consumption habits.

He noted that these initiatives are part of a vision aimed at providing Gulf programmatic productions with a broader space for presence and competition, leveraging various platforms to reach audiences wherever they are.

Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah concluded by emphasizing that the coming phase will witness more initiatives and partnerships contributing to the dissemination of Gulf productions, granting Gulf creative works and talents broader opportunities for visibility, thereby reflecting the shared identity of the GCC member states and presenting it to a new audience.
