Simone Returns 'Optimistic'

After deciding to return to the music scene, singer Simon promoted her new single, titled “Optimistic,” which is set for release soon. Simon revealed via her Instagram account that the song’s lyrics were written by Hisham Qabari, with music and arrangement by Khaled Mahmoud, and mixing and mastering by Mohamed Hamdi Taimeh.

Simon achieved significant musical success in the early 1990s, with notable hits including “Maish Nazra wa Ibtisama,” “Sa’ati Mish Mazboota,” and “Betkallem Ged,” the latter performed alongside singer Hamid Al-Shaeri.

In the field of acting, her career began in 1988 when she appeared alongside the late actress Faten Hamama in the film “A Bitter Day and a Sweet Day.” She subsequently appeared in numerous films and television series, as well as stage productions. Her filmography includes “State of Suspicion” and “Ice Cream in Geleem,” while her television credits feature the series “Zezينيا,” “The Godfather,” “Family Ties,” and “Scorpion Hunting.” On stage, she has performed in “Carmen” and “Sikat El Salamah 2000.”
