Record turnout for the 'Dubai Invitation' initiative, registration closes after more than 90,000 applications

The “Dubai Calling” initiative has seen widespread interest from residents, prompting the closure of the registration portal after more than 90,000 applications were submitted, underscoring the strong engagement with the program that offers benefits and discounts to residents when hosting friends and family members arriving from outside the United Arab Emirates. According to EuroNews, citing the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, the high volume of demand led to a tripling of the number of benefit packages available, with over 30,000 packages already distributed. Launched in July, the initiative includes offers and discounts on hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions, and transportation, with benefits exceeding AED 3,000 for some participants. Although new applications are no longer being accepted, previously registered eligible visitors can still travel to Dubai until October 31, 2026, with benefits redeemable at participating entities until December 31. The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism stated that the strong response highlights the significance of visiting friends and relatives tourism within the emirate’s tourism sector.
