Monday: "Couch Paths" on Kuwait TV

In a move reflecting the Jointly Produced Programmes Organization of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (JPP) direction toward expanding the presence of Gulf content, the program “Doroub Arisha” will debut on the entertainment screens of Kuwait Airways flights starting Monday, as part of a collaboration between the organization and Kuwait’s national carrier.
JPP Director General Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah affirmed that broadcasting the program aboard Kuwait Airways flights represents a new addition to its journey, offering Gulf content the opportunity to reach a diverse audience within and beyond the region, in an experience that transcends traditional broadcasting platforms.
He explained that choosing Kuwait as the starting point for this initiative aligns with the organization’s status and its regional role, noting that the next phase aims to expand cooperation to include both government and private Gulf airlines, thereby opening new channels for Gulf productions to reach and expand their audience.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah stated that content production does not end at the moment a project is completed, emphasizing, “Gulf media production is not complete merely by its creation… but by its reaching the audience and its impact.” He stressed that the quality, marketing, and dissemination of content must proceed hand in hand.
He added that the organization is working to build diverse partnerships with national, Gulf, and private sector institutions, while also seeking new broadcasting platforms that keep pace with the transformations in the media industry and changes in audience viewing habits.
He pointed out that these directions are part of a vision aimed at providing Gulf programmatic productions with a broader space for presence and competition, and leveraging various platforms to reach audiences wherever they are.
Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah concluded by affirming that the coming phase will witness more initiatives and partnerships that contribute to the dissemination of Gulf productions, granting Gulf creative works and talents broader opportunities for visibility, thereby reflecting the shared identity of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states and presenting it to a new audience.
